The Dauphin County Bail Fund Court Watch program observes criminal court proceedings in Dauphin County. Courtwatching takes place at Dauphin County Prison and the Magisterial District Judge offices where preliminary hearings are conducted. During these proceedings, individuals face the risk of incarceration or reincarceration. Our presence during these sessions helps to provide a clearer understanding of the realities behind the headlines, which may not always accurately portray the ongoing issues within the carceral system. Courtwatching empowers community members to promote accountability and advocate for meaningful change by gathering data and sharing our findings publicly.
